Working from home {FREE GUIDE}

ADVICE FOR CREATIVE ENTREPRENEURS ABOUT WORKING FROM HOME

I started KunsHuis in my mom’s dining room with a laptop (which I bought with almost 2 years of savings) and pay-as-you-go internet - that was back in April 2010. A month later, in May 2010, I got married, and KunsHuis officially started in my husband’s family home, that we would eventually own.

Working for yourself is a blessing, it has challenges, and if you are a solo-preneur, it can be isolating. I have gone through ups and downs in navigating my desired way of working.

You Design your life {FREEBIE}

 I didn't know about the upcoming marriage proposal, just that he wants us to go on a road trip to his sister and maybe spend a night at a lodge on our way - he wanted to ask me on the day of our six month anniversary. However, I was still at the advertising agency and couldn't get leave.

Thank you to Literally Brand New for this great feature!

WHAT MADE YOU ASPIRE TO BE A GRAPHICS DESIGNER?

Art is in my heritage, from Grandfathers to grandmothers. I won my first art competition in Sub B (Grade 2), I realised it is something I love to do. From there on I knew that Art was a direction I wanted to pursue in life. Graphic Design was the first and natural choice when I started to think about studying. I studied in Cape Town for 3 years and never looked back!
